Topic Description and Overview

  • Understand the changes on LinkedIn that matter to you from:
  • Over 300 changes in the last two years
  • 15 or so changes that they made and then rescinded
  • AI is rampant – the good, the bad and the ugly
  • Major hacks, lost accounts, blocked or restricted accounts
  • Algorithm woes
  • Reduced visibility for your posts

The good news is that if you as a business owner or job seeker do all the basic things on LinkedIn well, you can still be very successful using the tool. The bad news is that you are likely to feel overwhelmed and frustrated by the constant changes and give up.

There have been huge changes to LinkedIn over the past year or two – both in appearance and functionality. LinkedIn is still a great opportunity for small business owners and consultants to grow relationships and business opportunities but if you had a great profile a couple of years ago, you may not be taking advantage of the latest changes. If your profile wasn’t looking good a couple of years ago, there’s no better time than the present. And if you’re still posting content in the same way, you need to reconsider how you’re doing it.

Key Takeaways

  • Opportunities to showcase your business
  • Changes to make to your posting activities for greater visibility – what LI is currently promoting
  • NEW features to consider taking advantage of
