Fanny Kim, Marketing & PR Director-Elect
Fanny Kim is a public relations consultant with over 15 years of professional experience. Currently, Fanny works with agencies and corporate clients in the development and implementation of strategic media campaigns that build and sustain brand awareness.  Areas of expertise range from non-profit and health/wellness to media properties and digital technology.

Fanny started to consult in 2001 while attending graduate school in New York City. Since then, Fanny has partnered with New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles based public relations firms, advising senior management and agencies’ principals on media strategy and achieving key media coverage for agencies’ clients. Agencies that Fanny has worked with include but are not limited to Columbus PRCo, The Morris + King Company, LaForce + Stevens, EVINS Communication and Arieff Communications to name a few. Additionally, Fanny has acted as public relations and marketing counsel for New York City based companies that include industries in health and wellness, beauty, home décor, professional services and real estate.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Fanny was a public relations executive at New York agencies, such as Rubenstein Public Relations, Flutie Media and Kratz & Jensen (now Magnet Communications). Fanny started her marketing career in the travel industry, developing marketing and sales initiatives for Loews Hotels and resort properties located in Puerto Rico, including El Conquistador Resort and Country Club and El San Juan Hotel and Casino where she successfully competed in bidding and negotiations of contracts for offshore corporate accounts and retreats.

Fanny has achieved business and consumer media coverage in media outlets such as Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, Associated Press and Reuters as well as lifestyle trends and consumer product coverage in consumer magazines like Robb Report, Condé Nast Traveler, Food & Wine, Town & Country, Parade and USA Weekend. Additionally, Fanny has extensive broadcast experience and has worked with producers for expert interviews on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, BBC programming as well as product placements on shows like The Early Show, The Rachael Ray Show and The View.

In June 2004, Fanny received Master of Science degree from Hunter College / City University of New York (New York City). Fanny graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree from Barnard College / Columbia University (New York City) in May 1991.

Fanny is a New York native. Currently, she and her husband reside in San Francisco, California.
