Melissa Frank, Programs Director
Melissa is an attorney providing small business and consultant clients in a variety of industries business start-up counseling and guidance. Melissa works uniquely with each client to asses and provide them with their corporate legal needs including forming their business entity, drafting transactional documents, performing individualized legal research, and intellectual property transaction counseling. 

Melissa’s broad knowledge of a variety of specialized industries including biotechnology, high-technology, as well as aviation, uniquely allows her clients to trust in her ability to understand and properly handle their unique business goals.

Melissa has worked in a variety of industries including a real estate focused transactional legal firm providing contract drafting and review, at a software company overseeing licensing transactions and assisting with mergers, as well as a biotechnology company providing international legal consultation in tax, business law, as well as business environment assessment and strategy. 

Adding diversity to her life, Melissa also provides a select number of clients’ custom event planning services through her event management company Marlowe Berglund Events, helping clients create flawless event experiences.

Melissa holds a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley in Interdisciplinary Studies focused on BioEthics with a minor from the Goldman School of Public Policy. She holds a J.D. from U.C. Hastings where she was on the Board of the Hastings Intellectual Property Association and a member of the Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal. She is an active member of the California Bar Association and a member of the San Mateo County Bar Association.
