Programs, Help Member Consultants Achieve Maximum Business Success
SAN MATEO, CA, October 12, 2004 — Women in Consulting (WIC),
a San Francisco Bay Area umbrella organization of professional consultants,
announced today it will be holding its Second Annual Silent Auction
from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 21. Proceeds will help
fund the organization’s non-profit mission that includes educational

The Silent Auction will take place at the restaurant Michael’s
at Shoreline in Mountain View. Kathy Yates, president and COO of

in a company’s development it becomes critical to engage consultants
and how these relationships can result in success and value for
the business.
In addition to providing programs and services, WIC is active in
community affairs such as its recent work with the Center for New
Futures and Santa Clara University to help launch a Global Leadership
Center at the university. WIC is an organization of experienced
professional consultants in more than 30 specialties, ranging from
engineering to financial advising and marketing to web design. The
organization also provides a searchable database of all WIC members
to aid companies in selecting and working with consultants.
