Scaling Your Consulting Business: Lessons Learned from a Panel of Experts

Scaling your consulting business can seem daunting. You might be the only one creating revenue for yourself and often you’re feeling the pressure of time: how do I increase my revenue when I’m doing all the work?

Our panel of successful Women In Consulting Leaders Network members have figured this out and scaled their businesses to deliver a substantial income as well as a good life. How did they do it? Learn their secrets about:

  • The initial steps they took to scale
  • Business model options that scale for consulting
  • Lessons learned while scaling

This panel format provides an opportunity to work on your business by thinking about how you can strategically scale your business.

A number of Women In Consulting Best Practices are highlighted in this event—reflecting that the more Best Practices you put into action, the more successful you will be. They include:

#1 Network to build your business and resources (knowledge from other’s who’ve gone before)
#5 Use subcontractors
#6 Mark up subcontractors
#7 Always collect a percentage of the project fee upfront
